Christine + Matt | Sunrise Cliffside Engagement

These two! I had met with Christine and Matt for coffee a while back, and was instantly drawn to their laidback, fun-loving nature. It was no surprise that when we started planning their engagement session, they had their hearts set on something that would encompass their total beachy-chill vibes, complete with all the San Diego heat to match their warm personalities.

Enter this session. So, Christine actually flew in from the sunshiney state of Arizona, and was going to have to fly back that evening, so we decided on a sunrise shoot to really get those gorgeous beach colors. BUT, the universe had plenty of plans to literally try to rain on our parade.

It was pouring rain the week leading up. Girlfriend had literally booked a flight this particular weekend for this shoot, so rescheduling if rain occurred was not an option. I texted her just touching base to make sure she knew that we were down rain or shine and Christine’s response was literally, "Umbrellas are great! We will be there." Like, zero sweating occurring on their end. These guys were down to clown. MY TYPE OF PEEPS.

Just peep the sesh… this is hands down the most joyful, fun-loving couple EVER. They drank their coffee together, belly laughed and got handsy with each other (always a plus), and really made our job so easy by just being THEM. That's our fave thing. When couples just relax, enjoy each other, and let us capture the story in between "posing".

We ended the shoot by me telling Matt to just spend 5 minutes "being weird" doing whatever they wanted. Their request? Fake jumping off the cliffs photos. YESSSS. This sesh has got me HYPED for their June wedding!
